Newt has done just about every job on the ranch. He has spent countless hours gathering cattle, sorting, branding, and doctoring, and he's always willing to put in a full day's work. He'll go wherever you point him, stays sure-footed, and gives you his best every time you swing a leg over him. Despite his size, Newt is quick-footed, athletic, and travels with ease. He has plenty of heart, a strong work ethic, and the stamina to go all day. He's honest, dependable, and takes care of his rider. He loads and hauls well, stands tied quietly, and is good to trim and shoe.

Newt is a 13-year-old Quarter Horse/Draft Cross gelding standing 15.3 hands and weighing approximately 1,350 pounds. He is a big, stout-made gelding with the athleticism and agility of a much smaller horse.

We have owned and ridden Newt for the past six years, and he has been our dependable, go-to ranch horse. He's the kind you can leave turned out for weeks or even months, saddle him up, and ride off like he was worked yesterday.
